Aim
of the Policy
To ensure that we share information relating to the provision of
client centred Information, Advice, Guidance and Counselling services
in the Bristol area.
This will be achieved by supporting and attending new and
existing networks in order to exchange information across a wide
range of service providers in the area.

Objectives
* To share good practice and expertise in order to avoid duplication
and ensure quality standards.
* To help with effective marketing and promotion to ensure existing
and potential clients are made aware of our services and what we
can offer.
* To provide an improved access to the range of information available
about training and work.
* To share resources amongst the network members.
* To develop and improve the marketing of Bridging the Gap’s
services, sign-posting and referral systems.

* To provide and receive relevant, up to date information on IAG
and Counselling services and share it.
* To offer appropriate support to all network members.
* For network members to agree specific outcomes based upon the
network’s objectives.
* To provide an opportunity to work with other communities of interest.
* To work with a range of networks in order to assist them to achieve
their aims in line with the objectives of Bridging the Gap.

compliments a list of existing networks relevant to this policy.
This document is an initial framework for Bridging the Gap network
activity. We reserve the right to amend and review this document in
the light of experience gained and in line with The Guidance Council’s
Code of Principles. |

How to contact us.
Initial contact should be made via the main office by telephone
or through referral by another support organisation.
Once initial assessment has taken place, any further contact should
be made directly to your assigned Community Support Worker, who
will have informed you of the best way to keep in touch. Initial
