Following the report completed in 2001 a further comprehensive study
of Bridging the Gap has been completed. The purpose of this
report was to make comparisions to the original evaluation.

from July 2001
A comprehensive study of the first two years of Bridging the Gap.
This report presents the findings of an evaluation carried out by
the School for Policy Studies, University of Bristol.
The report sets the context for the implementation of the project
and evaluates the early stages of its development. It then
goes on to identify a range of operational issues which arose and
lessons to be drawn from this phase of the project's implementation.
Detailed feedback from clients of the project is also included in
the report, based on in-depth interviews with a wide cross-section
of the project's clients.
There follows a focus on relations between employers and Bridging
the Gap. It identifies the difficulties experiences in developing
this aspect of the project's overall objectives. The final
section of the report draws together a number of conclusions and
lessons for the future.

Satisfaction Survey 2004
This report includes the findings of a survey carried out independently
by FraZer B (a Bristol based consultancy) between January and March
2004.
The results reported are based on responses from 172 clients of the
project who were randomly selected to take part in a postal survey.
